Riceboro, GA Riceboro, GA Full-time Full-time From $12 an hour From $12 an hour The Head Start Health Assistant will monitor children's health status during the program year by tracking reports in the Childplus database system, communicating with families and by on-site visits.
Assist parents in obtaining accessible healthcare for children by following Georgia's EPSDT schedule.
Monitor, analyze, and follow-up on the status of all enrolled children's health, oral health and nutrition.
Ensure that all data entry is correct, accurate and properly tracked in all areas of child health care services outlined in the Program plans.
Sort and organize paperwork after entering data to ensure hard copies are maintained in files.
Ensure all health mandates, to include but not limited to 45/90-day screening, are met within the required time frame.
Coordinate and ensure parents are encouraged to participate in medical and dental screenings/exams.
Attends and contributes at regular team meetings that assess and develop the program's ability to maintain quality, safety, and responsiveness to the needs of children and parents.
Travel to assigned counties within the agency's service area to work closely with Family Service Workers on obtaining health documents.
Must have High School diploma, Possess current First Aid and CPR Certificate (Pediatric certification w/in 90 days of hire).
Must adhere to IDEA and HIPPA laws.
