An Expediting Manager has responsibility to direct, coordinate and maintain the effectiveness of all expediting functions and services to ensure timely delivery of materials to projects, and to manage all personnel activities in support of these operations.

Responsibilities:
Develop, maintain and implement expediting procedures, policies, plans, and manage all personnel activities in support of these activities.
Coordinate and maintain the effectiveness of status reporting for all assigned projects and participate in promptly resolving any contractual dispute vendors in company's premises where appropriate, or at vendors location.
Coordinate and supervise the evaluation of vendors performance in collaboration with the relevant procurement managers and participate in the formalities for inclusion, retention, upgrade or deletion of vendors from master vendor list.
Direct and coordinate all expediting activities from release of purchase orders to final payment of vendors invoices.
Manage payment of vendors invoices to ensure their continuity.
Direct and control the selection, performance, training and development of all Expediting personnel.
Assist in the development of project procurement plan and other associated documentation required as part of project execution plan.
Liaise with Project Managers, and other departmental managers to resolve any technical or administrative challenges and improve the performance of the expediting department.
Represent the expediting department in management meetings.
o Monitor schedule deviations and variances and assist in the developing alternate methods for corrective action.
o Prepare and provide schedule progress reports, trending charts and schedule analysis on a periodic basis.
o Provide regular progress updates, highlighting variances from the baseline; recommend and implement corrective actions that mitigate potential delays or progress slippage Expediting Manager Job Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Supply Chain is required.
1 to 2 years of work experience in a similar role.
SAP experience is a plus.
Good communication skills (verbal & written) in correspondence with vendors, customers, managers, etc.
Ability to demonstrate strong customer focus and work ethic of seeking continual improvement.
This position requires a highly motivated individual with excellent problem-solving skills, good interpersonal, and the ability to multi-task.
Highly motivated and detail-oriented.
Computer proficiency in MS Office Software Applications.
Candidates must be able to commute to the Riceboro, GA.
area on a daily basis.
